Currently it seems China has or at least close to that, Chinese companies began to establish global brands. This put China into a competitor position to the west who previously expected China to keep being factories of the world, producing stuffs cheaply for Western corporations, to keep being slaves.
Now that Chinese companies begin to threaten the Western MNCs, it was only a matter of time before trade conflict erupted. Trump just brought it forward sooner than anyone predicted.
China need to prepare its own version of derisking or diversification from the western market. China should focus on expanding into global south market. But not just exporting, but also investing and opening factories there. China should emulate the western and japanese MNCs. Establishing brand loyalty is the main focus.
