For some reason, that expression, "circle of violence," popped into my head.
That term, was always associated with the Middle East, where there was a lot of violence in the past.
Noticed lately no one uses that term much anymore.
Now we see a full blown escalating crisis in West Asia again, no one wants to use that term, to break the circle of violence.
That is real deep irony I feel. The Americans are fully involved in the Israeli Palestinian struggle, and the Americans are fully committed to the Russian Ukraine war too. In that we can see, the American government have no intention of de-escalating, it is more escalation, they actually want the circle of violence to continue.
In two separate theaters!
You know, do not even believe we saw anything this in the Cold War? LOL!
Finally, the American got their two front war at last!
Even when Dubya invaded the Middle East after 9/11, it was Afghanistan first, then I-raq next. This time, everyone at once it seems. The US military is deeply involved in Syria too in some way.
Seems like they are overdoing it.
And then, the obvious. China was trying to broker peace deals between Saudi Arabia and Iran, while the Americans are doing what they are doing, with their funding.
As of today, for some people and places in the world, the question is not war or peace.
The question is war or more war. Since the circle of violence is being fueled nonstop.
Does not seem this circle of violence and the perverse question of war or more war, has changed anything or solved any problem.
It does not seem to have any goal other than goal other than to perpetuate the violence.
Then again, who cares. As long as it does not happen here.
